The Athletics Association partners with #voiced to help amplify athlete’s stories.
March 30th: The Athletics Association and #voiced are pleased to announce that they will be collaborating to help amplify the voices of track and field athletes around the world.
The Athletics Association, founded by Olympic champion triple jumper Christian Taylor, and supported by a board made up of some of the sport’s greatest athletes, is an independent body created to protect the interests of athletes as well as the sport as a whole. By partnering with #voiced, an independent online platform dedicated to sharing the stories of all stakeholders in Track & Field and Road Running, the Athletics Association will maximise the storytelling potential of athletes, and provide insightful, relevant, regular and up to date content to its members and the track and field community.
“We are excited to partner with #voiced as this will give the Association a media arm that can help tell the stories of the athletes. Track & Field is a niche global community, but it is the centrepiece of major events such as the Olympic Games, and in order for the sport to continue to grow and develop, we need to hear more of the voices of the athletes themselves” said Taylor. Dr Kirsten van Heerden of #voiced, was equally excited about the new partnership, “Stories are powerful and can, and do, change the world. Track & Field is full of incredibly powerful human stories, and we are really looking forward to working with the Athletics Association to share them, and make a positive impact”.
